LIMEWOOD GROUP & THE PIG HOTELS
'Our early days saw an entirely manageable, manual system for planning, developing, delivering and recording all training; but Flow is the perfect fit for a business that keeps growing. Reducing administration whilst increasing the ability to deliver carefully crafted, high quality training was my motive when considering an online training partner. To adopt a system where we had the ability to design and mould the look to our own brand, even naming the platform ourselves; and being impressed with the sophistication of the materials coupled with the user-friendly access from so many devices, it's a no-brainer to me. I was never going to be a fan of the 1 dimensional, mechanical voiced, one-sided interaction tool presented by so many e-learning companies – Flow e-learning is the polar opposite of this. The discovery of the double edged system providing an individual with their own self-administered training & development path as well as a rich and exciting communications tool was enticing, but the cherry pie was finding it implemented and supported by an animated, fun and intelligent group of hands on people ~ The Flow team.'
'Wahaca has always been focused on people and development, being proud of delivering training on a very personal approach face-to-face and in a classroom. To find an e-learning provider was a challenge. We needed a system that wouldn't just tick boxes for compliance, we wanted a system that would be easy for all our employees to use, accessible and flexible to suit our values and needs. Plus we quickly started to expand across the UK, making it geographically hard to deliver consistent training. We finally decided it was time to find an E-learning system as a way to produce measurable outcomes quickly and consistently. That's when we came across Flow in late 2015. Not only visually appealing, the system provides extremely high quality training courses, a number of extra facilities to develop and adapt to our needs. We are approaching our second stage of our project, starting to use Flow as the 'go-to place' for all things learning and development and look forward to the exciting new features and progress with our teams. We still favour our personal training approach, but Flow is our perfect support to it.'

'We took the decision at the end of 2012 to introduce e learning into our business to improve consistency and reportage of compliance, product and service training. Flow was the obvious partner for us given their operating background and the quality look and feel of the technology. Flow has been a terrific find for our organisation. HILTON LONDON HEATHROW TERMINAL 5
'In line with Hilton's own on-line learning tool, Hilton Worldwide University, the Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 looked for a supplier that offered high quality, easily accessible and relevant e-learning training focused on our Food & Beverage outlets. Flow proved to be a professional, friendly and innovative company that could offer us the courses that we were looking for in a style that is individual and original. The material in the courses is interactive, visual and interesting, allowing us to add our own menus and information, therefore making it more bespoke to our property. Furthermore it proved to be a cost effective option giving our team members a strong foundation that we can build on with practical training. 'With over 135 restaurants up and down the UK, Zizzi needed a reliable e-learning tool that was user-friendly, informative and available to all team members across our business. Since we began using Flow 3 years ago, we've been able to send our teams interactive online training programs that develop them on a wide range of topics from ‘food safety' to ‘new menus'. Their behind-the-scenes Module Manager is easy to use and allows us to personalise every module so they look and feel Zizzi alongside accessing a wide range of 'off-the shelf' modules that Flow provide. Once the modules are created, their system allows us to email out the ‘module is ready' alerts and we can easily track who has completed the required segments. Flow understand the hospitality and restaurant industry themselves, having created the business out of their own training needs as a hospitality operator and this is a key benefit for us in choosing to continue to partner with them as our business grows. They have also been able to help us develop other elements of the online system such as internal communication and news functions, career path tracking and appraisals which mean we can now leverage the platform as an internal communication tool alongside using the e-learning area as part of our blended learning solutions for our teams across Zizzi. "La Tasca have received a huge amount of support from Flow during what could have been a stressful transition from our previous training supplier. This network of support was fundamental and our expectations were exceeded. Flow has helped us develop our 'people culture' offering a solution that is engaging and flexible. By linking Flow and the Fourth people system we are guaranteed that every employee who joins our restaurants owns their own training profile and receives all of the statutory training giving us total confidence in our reporting and legal compliance. This link also reduces the amount of time spent by managers in offices. This year we have focused on making the most of the tools Flow has to offer and specifically the Module Builder, over the last 7 months we have created 5 new modules aimed at all levels of our internal population and will continue to develop this portfolio launching our Autumn/Winter menu module soon. "With over 60 sites across the country, historically it has been very difficult to monitor who has completed tests and marking can be very time consuming. Creating our own tests on Flow, using the module builder, and assigning all menu tests on Flow has resulted in great success. Not only are the tests easy to build and assign, the reporting gives us the ability to control completion. We saw 79% of our 1000 staff pass the test ahead of the ‘Go Live' date, and the reporting functions meant that we could follow up with the correct people, achieving 100% completion within a week of the menu launch. The feedback from the Operations managers and staff in site was very positive, with the key strengths being the ease of use and the ability to track progress when testing staff."
RYDER CUP EUROPE
'We worked with Flow to develop an online training module for our 2,000 volunteers for The 2014 Ryder Cup. Whilst it wasn't compulsory that the volunteers completed it we were really pleased with the uptake and received very positive feedback from the volunteers. This was the first time we have had an online learning module for our volunteers but Flow really helped guide us along the way and ensured that the module was of the highest standard. Flow were a pleasure to work with and we hope to work again with them in the future.'

GREENE KING RETAILING AND BREWING
'Greene King partnered with Flow Hospitality Training in early 2013 to introduce e-learning in to our Retail business. Whilst we planned the introduction of Flow's standard suite of modules for both front and back of house positions across Greene King, we also saw the opportunity Flow provided to give new start team members a solid induction to the business and cover essential compliance basics. After time spent understanding the detail of our requirements, the Flow team designed and custom-built a new module specifically for Greene King, offering new starts an interactive and engaging introduction to our business. In addition to design and build, the Flow team also advised on the technical and procedural elements of roll-out including the integration of Flow with other GK systems and processes. They also played an integral role in the design and delivery of implementation training. Throughout the project, Flow remained quick to respond to our specific needs, always willing to adapt and tailor rather than push a one size fits all. Flow's flexible approach enabled the team to keep pace with the changing demands of our project schedule whilst maintaining the focus and momentum necessary to deliver.'
YOUTH HOSTEL ASSOCIATION
' When it comes to online learning there are loads of providers that talk a good game, but Flow Hospitality Training helps you make it happen. I was particularly nervous about migrating learner records from our old provider and launching a whole new system to over 1500 employees without a hitch. I needn’t have worried; Flow’s Implementation Team worked tirelessly with our Business Systems people to ensure we got it right first time. Flow online learning solutions are easy to use and are engaging for employees. I love the fresh, modern approach and the fact that new modules and functions are regularly added. 'When looking for a training programme for our teams we required a programme that is aimed specifically at our industry sector, from providers who have hands on relevant experience and are equally innovative and leaders in their chosen field. Flow Hospitality Training has been able to provide all of our requirements and more. The initial four basic modules (Licensing, Food Safety, Health and Safety and Waiter) are included in our induction programme with new recruits required to complete these prior to commencing work in the department with the remaining six modules (Wine, Customer Service, Cocktails, Coffee, Service that Sells and Bartender) completed throughout the year. This creates a good basic grounding on which to build knowledge and create an experienced team. Due to the online training aspect of the programme new recruits are able to access training at their own pace and convenience which ensures completion. It also creates an appealing training programme for the more IT literate age group that now make up the majority of our staff. Without fail to date the teams have welcomed a new interactive approach and understanding levels are higher than ever.'
'Buzzworks have five uniquely stylish venues, all celebrated for their exceptional quality of the food, drink service and entertainment on offer. The group are well known for investing in their people and have a strong training program. Buzzworks chose Flow because we wanted to improve the knowledge our staff have before they start working for us and interacting with customers. We believe that through the Flow Training Modules our staff will have a better and more consistent knowledge in a much faster timeframe. The modules integrate really well with our own in-house Training Programme. The modules are fun and easy to do with lots of interactive games – a great way for all different levels of staff to learn at their own pace.'
'We have just taken Flow on board and have found it an extremely user friendly system It also works very efficiently in tandem with the more practical based training we carry out on site. Having spent many years training within the hospitality industry, we can see it will certainly help reduce the time managers have to spend covering basic yet essential information. Training budgets can therefore be utilised developing practical and personal skills, not only at the initial stages but right the way through the staff's probationary period. Flow contains clear building blocks ,which staff can progress on to once confidence has been gained in basic bar and waiting skills.
